Your southern story begins the moment you land at Tan Son Nhat Airport (SGN) in the morning. Your guide will be there to greet you, and we'll dive directly into the city's living history. Our first stop is the Reunification Palace, a fascinating time capsule preserved exactly as it was on the day the war officially ended in 1975. We'll then visit the War Remnants Museum for a poignant, powerful look at Vietnam's turbulent 20th century. To lighten the mood, we'll admire the city's colonial architectural jewels: the stunning, red-brick Notre Dame Cathedral and the magnificent Old Post Office, designed by Gustave Eiffel. After this immersive introduction, we'll transfer to your hotel to check in and relax. Tonight, your Dinner will be at a local Indian Restaurant (or you may choose to explore the city's vibrant fine-dining scene at your leisure).
This morning, we journey back in time with a drive to the legendary Cu Chi Tunnels. This incredible underground network provides a deep, unforgettable look into the sheer resilience and ingenuity of the Vietnamese people during the war. You’ll have a chance to crawl through a section of the tunnels and understand the life lived beneath the earth. We'll return to Ho Chi Minh City in the afternoon. For a change of pace, we'll visit the stunning Opera House, a belle-époque landmark. The rest of the afternoon is yours to enjoy. You may wish to indulge in some shopping at the boutiques on Dong Khoi Street, or perhaps simply find a charming café to watch the city's vibrant life go by. For your evening meal, Dinner will be at a local Indian Restaurant (or perhaps a rooftop bar for cocktails and stunning city views).
Today, we leave the city behind and journey into the "rice bowl" of Vietnam, the Mekong Delta. We drive to My Tho and take a boat trip on the Tien River, watching the river's daily life unfold. We'll arrive in Ben Tre, the "kingdom of coconuts," where you’ll see how coconut candy is made in local workshops and visit a handicraft factory. A special visit awaits at Mr. Nam Ngo’s fruit orchard, where you can taste fresh, seasonal fruits straight from the tree, savor honey tea, and listen to the enchanting sounds of "Đờn Ca Tài Tử" (Southern Vietnamese folk music). The highlight for many is taking a small rowing boat (sampan) and gliding silently through the tranquil, palm-shaded creeks. Your Lunch will be at a local Indian Restaurant (or at a beautiful riverside restaurant featuring fresh, regional Mekong specialties). After lunch, we take a private transfer deeper into the delta to Can Tho, its largest city.
An early start is rewarded. We’ll take a boat trip to witness the Cai Rang Floating Market, the largest and most dynamic in the Delta. This is a symphony of boats, a colorful, chaotic, and wonderful spectacle of vendors hawking their produce—from pineapples to watermelons—all from their boats. After the market, we’ll visit a true hidden gem: the Binh Thuy Ancient House. This beautifully preserved 19th-century mansion is a perfect, elegant blend of French-colonial and traditional Vietnamese architecture, famous for being a filming location for "The Lover." After soaking in the delta's charm, your private transfer will be ready to take you on the journey back to Ho Chi Minh City.
Your final morning in Vietnam. Enjoy a final breakfast, perhaps reflecting on the incredible contrasts of your journey—from the underground tunnels of war to the vibrant, life-affirming markets of the Mekong. Your time is free until your private driver transfers you to Tan Son Nhat Airport (SGN) for your departure flight.
